Business overview

Cortex Docs turns API specifications into three products at once: typed SDKs, interactive documentation, and MCP servers for AI agents. From a single cortex.config.yml it reads OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, GraphQL, gRPC and OpenRPC sources — plus Markdown — validates the contract, and generates typed clients in eleven languages, a self-hostable documentation site, and a Model Context Protocol server that maps every API operation to a typed tool with the specs, docs and SDK guides bundled alongside.

It is an MIT-licensed command-line tool, not a hosted service: install @cortex-docs/cli, run cortex generate or cortex publish, and own the output. Templates are open and overridable, generated packages can be published to your own registries or GitHub, and the docs build to static HTML you can host anywhere.

It replaces the split toolchain most teams assemble by hand — separate SDK, docs and MCP generators — with one config, one command and no lock-in.

Value proposition

Generate typed SDKs, interactive docs and MCP servers from one config and one command — five protocols, eleven languages, MIT-licensed with open templates, so you own the output instead of a locked-in toolchain.

In US dollars. Shown with your review, and — once three reviewers have given them — in the median saving here and on the page for the product you left.

Posting as a guest. That is fine and it is what most people do — but a guest review cannot be changed or removed afterwards, because it belongs to nobody. Sign in or create an account first and it stays yours.

Optional, all off by default

Ticking any of those three gives Cortex Docs your email address, for that purpose only. They send it themselves, so unsubscribing is between you and them — this site cannot do it for you, and cannot take back an address they already hold. Leave all three unticked and your address stays here: used to let you edit your own review, and nothing else. Privacy has the whole list.

One review per person per listing — submitting again replaces yours. The vendor can respond publicly but can never edit or remove what you wrote.
