Storyblok is a headless content management system: content is modelled as structured JSON and delivered through APIs to any front end, while authors edit it in a visual editor that renders the real page and lets them change blocks in place. Pages are assembled from reusable components — a component composer, global components and flexible content structures — so the same blocks can be repurposed across projects and channels. Delivery runs over REST and GraphQL Content Delivery APIs plus a Management API, with frontend SDKs for Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, React, Vue and Eleventy.

The platform is ISO 27001 certified, hosted on AWS in Frankfurt with optional US and China regions, served through a global CDN, and includes an image service, a digital asset manager and field- and folder-level localisation. Newer features are aimed at AI: a native MCP server that exposes content and schemas to agents, FlowMotion for building content workflows and orchestrating agents across 500+ connectors, and AI translations, alt text, SEO and branding tools. Published plans start at a free Starter tier (one space, 100,000 API requests and 100GB traffic a month, two locales), then Growth at $99/month and Growth Plus at $349/month, with custom Premium and Elite tiers carrying 99.9% and 99.99% uptime SLAs. Storyblok names TomTom, Octopus Energy, Oatly and Virgin Media O2 among its customers.

Storyblok was founded in 2017 by Dominik Angerer and Alexander Feiglstorfer, who were working at a digital experience agency when they built the first prototype, and is headquartered in Linz, Austria. The company works fully remote and sells proprietary, vendor-hosted software — there is no self-hosted edition.
