Orca

Orca is a desktop app for running several AI coding agents side by side, which it calls an agent development environment. Every task gets its own git worktree, its own agent terminal and its own browser tab, so parallel agents can work on the same repository without stashing or juggling branches. It is built for people who already write code for a living: the assumption is that you read diffs, care about commits and keep worktrees tidy. Orca runs on your machine by default, and the same worktrees can be pointed at an SSH host, a self-hosted Orca server or a disposable cloud VM.

Orca does not ship a model of its own. It drives agent CLIs you already pay for — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, OpenCode, Gemini, Grok and others — against a documented list of supported agents, so subscriptions stay with you. The app bundles a GPU-rendered terminal with splits, an embedded Chromium browser with a design mode, inline diff comments that are sent back to the agent, notes, an editor, and a CLI that lets agents drive the environment itself; tasks can be pulled from GitHub and Linear. Builds are signed and notarised for macOS, Windows and Linux, distributed as an installer, AppImage, .deb, .rpm and a Homebrew cask, with an iOS and Android companion app for checking agent status away from the desk.

Remote work is deliberately bring-your-own: SSH targets, a machine running `orca serve` that several clients pair with, or per-workspace environments defined by an `orca.yaml` recipe on providers such as Vercel Sandbox, Fly, Modal or plain Docker. Orca does not sell managed VPS hosting. The project is open source under the MIT licence, based in the United States, and its release channel includes vetted stable builds plus release candidates that ship new features first.
