Ryte

Ryte is a platform for monitoring and improving website quality. It crawls a site with its own RyteBot, following the internal link path the way Google's crawler does, and reports on the technical and content issues it finds. A High-Performance Crawler renders JavaScript in an optimised Chrome browser and runs Google Lighthouse audits, producing more than 200 metrics, and the platform groups its checks under seven pillars: SEO, web performance, quality assurance, sustainability, accessibility, compliance and content.

Crawls are configurable in detail: directories and single pages can be excluded with regex rules, robots.txt behaviour and sitemap URLs can be set, and password-protected staging sites crawled before launch. Analyses can be scheduled and results delivered by email, alerts fire when robots.txt changes or a keyword loses clicks or position, and servers are pinged every ten minutes to catch downtime. Reports cover broken links, redirects, titles, SSL encryption, indexability and missing alt tags, and a Network Requests report flags third-party requests that appear to send personal data without consent. Results are enriched with Google Search Console and Google Analytics data and can be shared, exported or pulled through the API, with a Slack integration for teams. The site states it serves 15,000+ users and quotes customers including Boehringer Ingelheim, Personio, HomeToGo, Chefkoch and Hornbach.

Ryte is a service of Ryte GmbH at Paul-Heyse-Str. 27, 80336 Munich, registered at the Munich Local Court under HRB 200042, with training offered under the name Ryte Campus from the same address. The product dates back to OnPage.org and took the name Ryte in 2017, and the site now carries a notice that Semrush has acquired Ryte. Proprietary and vendor-hosted.
