netcup is a German internet service provider, based in Karlsruhe, that sells web hosting, domain registration and servers to private customers and businesses from its own infrastructure rather than reselling another cloud. The server range covers vServers on x86 and ARM64, KVM-based root servers with dedicated CPU cores and RAM, vGPU servers and a permanently price-optimised vServer Lite line, alongside shared web hosting and domains. Servers come with DDoS protection, IPv4/IPv6, hourly or monthly billing and pre-installed images, with local block storage expandable to 8 TB.

netcup counts more than 300,000 customers served by just over 100 staff, together holding more than 400,000 hosting products and managing over 550,000 domains; in the twelve months to 2025 its systems moved 3,850 PB of traffic and offered CPU capacity above 1,000,000 GHz. Its servers run in data centres in Vienna, Nuremberg, Amsterdam, Manassas (Virginia) and Singapore, and it holds ISO 9001 certification since 2023 along with ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and ISO 14001, buys 100% renewable electricity wherever possible, and belongs to RIPE, DENIC and eco e.V.

netcup GmbH is based at Emmy-Noether-Strasse 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, registered at the Mannheim commercial register under HRB 705547 and managed by Oliver Werner and Alexander Windbichler. It began as a one-man business founded by Felix Preuss and was folded into netcup GmbH in 2008, which he led as CEO until 2020; since 2016 it has been part of the Austrian Anexia group, whose network gives it more than 90 server locations, 2 Tbit/s of edge capacity and direct peering above 100 Gbit/s.
