Business overview

Dailymotion is a video-sharing platform and a set of business video services built on the same catalogue. Viewers watch and upload video on the consumer site and apps, where the company says recommendations come from an algorithm designed to broaden what people see rather than to maximise watch time. Publishers, media groups and brands reach the same inventory through two separate products: Dailymotion Pro for content and player management, and Dailymotion Advertising for selling and buying video inventory.

On the publisher side Dailymotion Pro supplies a customisable, brandable embedded player and content management; advertisers get programmatic and programmatic guaranteed inventory, CTV placements, a viewability-guaranteed marketplace built with Moat, certification in Display & Video 360 and a TAG Brand Safety Certified seal, plus human verification of ad interactions run with White Ops. Its VerticalVue mobile format won the Vertical Format Prize at the 2020 Digital Video Grand Prix, and distribution deals have been signed with companies including Xiaomi, Discovery Latin America and Verizon Media. Dailymotion acquired the mobile video app Mojo in 2025 and integrated its AI-assisted creation features in 2026, and its advertising arm launched RAY, a platform for video marketing, in November 2025.

The company is based in Paris and publishes its corporate news itself, describing its aim as building the next generation of media platforms for users, creators, advertisers and publishers. It has joined the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, Tech Against Terrorism and the Christchurch Call, and reports on its copyright and child-protection work at regulatory events.
