Business overview

Tally is an online form builder whose editor works like a text document: you type questions onto the page and insert blocks the way you would in Notion, rather than dragging fields onto a canvas. Building a form needs no code, and an account is not required to try one. A finished form can be published at a Tally link, embedded in a website or a Notion page, or shown as a popup.

The free plan covers unlimited forms and submissions within published fair-usage limits, and includes input blocks for contact details, payments, e-signatures, file uploads, ratings, dates and times. Smart blocks add conditional logic, variables and calculations, hidden fields, answer piping, pre-filled fields, email notifications, redirects, reCAPTCHA and capture of partial submissions. Forms can be multi-page, themed, restyled with custom CSS, hosted on a custom domain, and translated for respondents in 50+ languages. Submissions sync to Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, Coda, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Zapier, Make and Pipedream, or to any HTTP endpoint through webhooks. Paid tiers add white-labelling, shared workspaces, visit and drop-off analytics, data-retention controls and email verification, at 20 EUR per month for Pro and 65 EUR for Business. The site states it powers 500,000+ teams.

Tally is built by a small, independent, bootstrapped team based in Ghent, Belgium, funded by its customers rather than outside investors, with milestones documented on a public blog and a public roadmap. It is proprietary and vendor-hosted: the company says it is GDPR compliant, stores form data in Europe, encrypts it in transit and at rest, and does not use cookie tracking.
