Mullvad VPN is a virtual private network service that encrypts a device's traffic and masks its IP address, operated by Mullvad VPN AB in Gothenburg, Sweden. Signing up generates a random account number instead of an email and password, no personal details are stored, and payment can be made in cash by post, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Monero, bank wire, card, PayPal or local transfer schemes. Open-source apps are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android at a flat EUR 5 per month including VAT, with no sales and a 14-day money-back guarantee.

The network runs WireGuard with quantum-resistant tunnels enabled by default, plus DAITA (Defense against AI-guided Traffic Analysis), multihop routing and DNS content blocking, on RAM-only infrastructure completed in September 2023. Its published relay list covers 50 countries and roughly 550 servers, 124 of them owned outright, and one account covers up to five devices. Mozilla and Malwarebytes have run products on Mullvad's server network, and the Android app was audited by NCC Group in March 2025.

Mullvad launched in March 2009 and has charged the same EUR 5 monthly rate since. The company is owned by parent Amagicom AB, which is held entirely by founders Fredrik Strömberg and Daniel Berntsson, and is based at Box 53049, 400 14 Gothenburg, Sweden. Its clients are open source, but the network is vendor-hosted rather than self-hostable. Alongside the VPN it maintains the Mullvad Browser, built together with the Tor Project, and the Leta search engine.
